As Chief Executive Officer and a founding partner at Pinnacle, Dave leads with a philosophy as simple as it is rare: every challenge is an opportunity in disguise. He brings executive leadership experience across employee benefits consulting, sales organization leadership, and practice development, including growing a national brokerage's employee benefits practice at an average of 26% annually over nearly eleven years. A DePauw alumnus, Dave has built a career helping organizations strategically manage their benefits investment to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the employees those benefits serve. Equal parts advisor, coach, and mentor, he is an avid Go-Giver who believes that doing right by people is the only way to operate.

As Chief Sales Officer at Pinnacle, Dan drives new business growth and client retention while continuously seeking out the most innovative vendors and solutions in the industry. Before joining Pinnacle, he served as a Senior Benefits Consultant and principal of his own independent consultancy, as well as Vice President and Senior Benefits Consultant at Gregory & Appel Insurance, building a career grounded in employee benefits, pharmacy strategy, and alternative risk solutions. A graduate of Wabash College, Dan has built a reputation for translating complex insurance and benefits data into clear, confident decisions.

PATRICK SHULER
As Chief Operating Officer at Pinnacle, Pat brings extensive experience in underwriting, data analysis, and stop loss strategy to every client engagement. Before joining Pinnacle, he founded and grew an independent general agency managing more than $20 million in stop loss premium at its peak, a foundation that shapes the discipline and depth he brings to his work today. He holds a BS in Business Management from Trine University and has built a reputation for turning complex data into clear, confident decisions for the organizations and people he serves.
